Full-Time Stud Groom

The Thurlow Hunt is seeking an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic full-time Stud Groom to care for a small team of hunt horses on a private estate in Suffolk with excellent facilities.

This is primarily a sole charge position, so applicants must be confident working independently, using their own initiative and maintaining high standards of horse care, yard management and paddock management.

The role includes:

• Day-to-day care and fitness of hunt horses
• Clipping, plaiting, turnout and general yard duties
• Liaising with the vet, farrier and feed merchant
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience with hunt or competition horses
• Is a confident rider
• Is reliable, hardworking and organised
• Holds a full UK driving licence
• Be able to drive a 7.5T Horsebox

An excellent remuneration package, commensurate with experience, is offered, including accommodation if required.
